2017 Peacock's Fan McLaren Vale Shiraz

COLOUR
Deep purple with hints of violet around the edges.

AROMA
Subtle depth to the purity of dark fruit showing lush scents of fruit trifle with lifted berry fruits, plums and a hint of spice.

PALATE
Generous, flavoursome and sweet blackberry pie. Sweet spice cuts through the blackberry jam cooking on the stove flavours. The youthful austerity you would expect with primary blackberries, but plenty of fineness to the tannin and dark chocolate nuances in the lengthy finish.

OVERALL
An extraordinary Shiraz from McLaren Vale, great richness with line and balance. We think this wine will cellar well but is so delicious now any argument for delayed gratification is almost academic.

Alcohol 14.5% with a pH of 3.44 a TA 6.57 g/L. Residual Sugar 3.0g/L
